Environment

How big is the campus? What's it's like?

Our campus is more than 140 acres, giving campers plenty of space to have fun in nature!

We have a huge pond for water activities, several sports fields, fishing ponds, trails, and high ropes, all within convenient walking distance to cabins and the indoor stage and learning centers.

Health & Safety

Is there a nurse on duty?

Yes! There are always two registered nurses onsite during the camp day to help campers with everything from small cuts to allergic reactions.

How do you handle pond safely?

We require all campers to wear life jackets in the pond. We also have certified lifeguards who are posted at the best possible vantage points to supervise all campers who are in the pond

How do you support campers with special needs?

SaSS is not designed to meet the needs of most campers with special needs. Our ability to support the needs of a specific child must fit within the scope of the specific program and the skills and abilities of our staff. Parents interested in exploring SaSS as a camp option for their child with special considerations must request a meeting with camp administration prior to enrolling their camper. The purpose of this meeting will be a discussion of best fit for the camper and SaSS’s ability to support a wonderful camp experience. If both parties agree to enroll the camper, this meeting will include the development of a written plan of understanding around any reasonable accommodations or supports to be implemented.
